About Me

I've been involved in all manner of musical things since I was a child - everything from formal Trinity Cello Exams to choir festivals. Alongside those experiences, I began to interact with computer games and their constructed worlds, with awesome game soundtracks like the 'World of Warcraft' music becoming a core part of my childhood.

Through my BAPVA degree at the University of the Witwatersrand (where I majored in Music Composition, Game Design and Writing and Interactivity), I began exploring sound as storytelling and understanding its multifaceted role in games. Through this process, I was given the opportunity to better understand how sound and music in games plays an invaluable role in communicating with the player and adding life and impact to the player's actions.

I look forward to furthering my exploration into sonic storytelling, whether that be through the creation of sound for UI buttons, game mechanics, or emotive soundscapes.

In my spare time, I moonlight as a professional musician, teaching at an NGO in Braamfontein (Music Enlightenment Project). I also regularly play with various South African musicians, such as Blues Duo 'MaxX & Love' as well as singer-songwriter 'Leomile'. I have recorded on both of their albums. I am a member of the Rand Symphony Orchestra since 2017 and have assisted with the Wits Orchestra from 2024.
